Sometimes Windows 7 installation can be complex if you are not aware of basic steps. Installing Windows on a new computer is always a great experience. There is nothing like setting it up and starting it for the first time. Windows 7 is the forthcoming operating system so you can to install it on any compatible computer.
Minimum hardware requirements for running Windows 7:
* 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
* 1 GB RAM for 32-bit Windows 7 OR 2 GB RAM for 64-bit Windows 7
* 16 GB available disk space 32-bit Windows 7 OR 20 GB for 64-bit Windows 7
* Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (in order to enable Aero theme)
* DVD-R/W Drive
Internet or phone access to activate Windows 7.
Instructions:
● Put the installation disc into DVD drive, then set the BIOS to boot from it.
● Press any key to boot from CD or DVD.
● Next you should see the first Windows 7 setup screen prompting you to enter your region information. Enter details.
● Set your location and language preferences then click Next.
● Next accept the license agreement in order to proceed.
● The two options are Upgrade and Custom. As this is a new install, the only one we can choose is Custom.

● Select the hard drive partition for installing Windows.
● During setup system may reboot a couple of times, don’t “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” when this happens as it will slow everything down. Let Windows reboot as normal.
● Once the file install is complete you will be presented with another black screen with the message, “Setup is preparing your computer for first use.
● The next dialog box is where you enter your user and computer name. Enter all your details and click Next. Password time, enter one if you want, or leave it blank, the choice is yours.
● The next screen is for the product key. Here you have two options. You can enter the key here and allow Windows to automatically activate once online, or ignore it and enter it later.
● The next screen is the security screen where you choose whether or not to allow Windows to automatically update itself. We suggest setting this to Use recommended settings for now.
● This will allow the operating system to download Windows 7updates and fixes as they become available.
● Next enter details for time zone, then network settings.
● This would be the last setup screen you will see. The next thing you will see is the Windows desktop! It is recommended that you install your device drivers, anti-virus and other require applications.
